A rare antique bronze kumkum box (also known as a tikka box or sindoor container) crafted in the traditional lotus flower design. This ingenious piece features six inner petal-shaped compartments surrounded by six hinged outer petals that fold outward like a blooming flower when opened, and nest together into a compact bud shape when closed. Used in Hindu religious ceremonies to hold kumkum (vermillion), sindoor, turmeric, sandalwood paste, and other sacred powders.
